The story behind Bitter Harvest

A 1995 fire at Debora Green’s Kansas home killed two of her children; another daughter escaped. Investigators determined the fire had been deliberately set and also investigated the poisoning of Green’s estranged husband. Green entered no-contest pleas to murder and attempted-murder charges in a case that exposed violence within a family of physicians.
